The Sturgis Riders Rally Poker Run was a blast! This is a very cool ride that both Lorna and I like to take and we hope you'll like it as well. A great way to spend a few hours and some really good riding and interesting places to visit. |

We were able to raise $700 for our Charity Partners for the 2009 Tri-State Poker Run and Raffle!
July 4th started off with very dark clouds as far as you could see in every direction and light sprinkles. We still had bikes pulling up right at 8am to register. Everyone who did the Tri-State Poker Run had a great time and as the day progressed the clouds broke up and no one reported getting rained on during the 185 mile route.
Rich from Colorado (center in lower left Pic) won the High Hand with a Straight, and Carl (center in lower right pic) also from Colorado, won the Low Hand with a pair of 7's. Can you see the little dog under the picnic bench next to Joe sitting on the bench? That dog rode the Tri-State Poker Run! I should probably send the dog a poker run pin.
Rich and his friends from Colorado, and Joe from Battle Mountain, Nevada were a few of the folks staying at the Days End Campground for the weekend.
Everyone had fun at the Days End Campground Bar after the ride for the Raffle and then Eric May & The Center Lane Band did a great job rocking the bar! www.ericmaymusic.com
Thanks to Dean Coronato at The Ponderosa Cafe in Hulett for donating Gift Certificates and having a great menu for those riding thru. Dorothy and the staff at The Turf Bar in Sundance had sandwiches and chips ready all day for those stopping by. Thanks also to Diane at the Stoneville and Mark and crew at The Loud American Roadhouse for letting us have our poker run stops at their places, and Laverne and crew at Sturgis Harley for donating Sturgis HD shirts for our raffle and letting us use their parking lot for our registration, we really appreciate it!
